Creamy Pesto Sauce Recipe
Preparing pesto is among the easiest recipes in the world, anyway. It is delicious, of low calories and the following recipe is very easy to make:
Ingredients
1 cup of black olive paste, of course you could use also green olive paste
Salt to taste
Red pepper
2 -3 garlic cloves
4-5 tomatoes
2-3 basil leaves
3 tablespoons of grated hard chesse, such as Parmesan
Directions
Crush the garlic and mix it with the olive paste until it is well blended. Add some salt and red pepper to taste. Chop the basil leaves and add them into the paste, do not forget about the grated cheese. Mix it again until everything is well blended; set it aside and let the mixture rest for some minutes.
Meanwhile, take the tomatoes and mash them to a fine puree. Then add it to the paste you prepared earlier, mix well and let it rest for at least another 5 to 10 minutes.
Tips
This creamy pesto should be used within 1 or 2 days. If you want to keep it longer, keep it in the fridge and cover it with olive oil.
